Não é a própria pequenez. É a revolta contra a superioridade dos outros.
Não é a injúria. É o orgulho ferido.
Não é a tentação. É a volúpia de experimentar-lhe os alvitres.
Não é a velhice do corpo. É a paixão pelas aparências.
Como é fácil de perceber, na solução de qualquer problema, o pior problema é a carga de aflições que criamos,
desenvolvemos e sustentamos contra nós.
