17 O RELIGIOSO – DIÁLOGO COM AS SOMBRAS HERMÍNIO C. MIRANDA
É impressionante a elevada participação de transviados “religiosos” no trágico e doloroso desfile de Espíritos em lamentável desequilíbrio, nas sessões de desobsessão.
Multidões de ex-prelados debatem-se, no mundo póstumo, em angústias e rancores inomináveis, que se arrastam, às vezes, pelos séculos.
Apresentam-se, quase sempre, como zelosos trabalhadores do Cristo, empenhados na defesa da “sua” Igreja.
São argutos, inteligentes, agressivos, violentos, orgulhosos, impiedosos e arrogantes.
Parece terem freqüentado a mesma escola no Além, pois costumam trazer os mesmos argumentos, a mesma teologia deformada, com a qual justificam seus impulsos e sua tática.
Têm os seus temas prediletos, como a cena da expulsão dos vendilhões do templo, que invocam como exemplo de que a violência é, às vezes, necessária e justificável, esquecendo-se, deliberadamente, das motivações daquele gesto: a vergonhosa comercialização das coisas sagradas e a indústria do sacrifício de pobres animais inocentes.
O gesto não é gratuito, nem fica sem explicações.
— Ao mesmo tempo — escreve Mateus (21:13) — os instruía, dizendo: Não está escrito: “Minha casa será chamada casa de oração, por todas as nações? Entretanto, fizestes dela um covil de ladrões!”
A esse comércio vil, estavam associados os próprios sacerdotes.
Muitos daqueles cambistas e negociantes não passavam de meros “testas-de-ferro” dos donos da verdade.

Emmanuel informa, em “Paulo e Estêvão”, que Zacarias, o protetor de Abigail, conseguiu, mediante influência de certo Alexandre, parente próximo de Anás, “incluir-se entre os negociantes privilegiados, que podiam vender animais para os sacrifícios do Templo”.
Os “religiosos” desorientados invocam também outras passagens, bem escolhidas aos seus propósitos, como aquela em que o Cristo declara que não veio trazer a paz, mas a espada.

) Kardec tratou dessas questões no capítulo 23 de “O Evangelho segundo o Espiritismo”, ao qual deu o título de “Estranha moral”.
Ainda comentaremos tais problemas, quando cuidarmos especificamente das técnicas e recursos sugeridos para o trabalho de desobsessão.
O grande problema desses queridos companheiros desarvorados é o poder.
Quase sempre exerceram, nas organizações religiosas a que se filiaram, vida após vida, posições de mando e destaque.
Estão acostumados a dominar os outros, não a si mesmos, pois tudo se permitem, desde que os objetivos que escolheram sejam alcançados.
Constituem equipes imensas, que se revezam na carne e no mundo espiritual, mantendo estreito intercâmbio, porque também se revezam no poder, aqui e lá, e, por isso, suas organizações sinistras e implacáveis parecem eternizar-se no comando de vastas massas humanas, encarnadas e desencarnadas.
O intercâmbio, à noite, quando se acham parcialmente libertos os encarnados, é intenso.
Realizam-se reuniões, para debate, estudo e planejamento.
André Luiz nos dá uma pequena amostra dessa atividade em “Libertação”, no capítulo “Observações e novidades”.
— “Não mediste, ainda — diz Gúbio, o instrutor —, a extensão do intercâmbio entre encarnados e desencarnados.
A determinadas horas da noite, três quartas partes da população de cada um dos hemisférios da Crosta Terrestre se acham nas zonas de contacto conosco e a maior percentagem desses semilibertos do corpo, pela influência natural do sono, permanecem detidos nos círculos de baixa vibração qual este em que nos movimentamos provisoriamente (1).
Por aqui, muitas vezes se forjam dolorosos dramas que se desenrolam nos campos da carne.
Grandes crimes têm nestes sítios as respectivas nascentes e, não fosse o trabalho ativo e constante dos Espíritos protetores que se desvelam pelos homens no labor sacrificial da caridade oculta e da educação perseverante, sob a égide do Cristo, acontecimentos mais trágicos estarreceriam as criaturas.

Prestaram bem atenção? Três quartos da população encarnada na Terra, ou seja, três pessoas em cada quatro, isto é, 75 por cento! André não fala especificamente de reuniões promovidas por religiosos, mas estas são ativas, freqüentes e tenebrosas.
Comparecem, investidos de enorme autoridade, aqueles que a conquistaram pela ardilosa sagacidade, pela prepotência e total desinteresse pelos aspectos éticos das questões envolvidas.
Ai daquele que se intromete em seus afazeres e tenta impedir a realização de seus planos criminosos! precisa estar muito bem preparado, vigilante, guardado na prece e assistido por Espíritos do mais elevado teor vibratório.
Ao longo de muitos séculos de intriga política, e do exercício da opressão e da intimidação, esses pobres “ministros de Deus”

Dispõem de recursos extremos e não hesitam em empregá-los, desde que atinjam seus fins.
Conservam, no mundo espiritual, seus paramentos, suas jóias e todos os símbolos de suas posições.
Vivem em “construções” suntuosas e soturnas, sentam-se em “tronos”, cercam-se de áulicos prontos a executar-lhes o menor desejo.
Celebram suas missas pregam sermões, mantendo um ritual pomposo e meramente exterior, tal como faziam aqui na Terra.
Uma jovem desencarnada, de quem cuidamos certa vez, nos contou, com penosa ingenuidade, que vivia alegremente, na irresponsabilidade da sua inconsciência.
Ligara-se a um ser encarnado, a quem estávamos interessados em ajudar, aliás, sem que ele o soubesse.
Comparecia uma vez por semana à presença do nosso amigo encarnado e o induzia aos desatinos dos sentidos desgovernados, participando, certamente, dessas orgias.
Era “remunerada” com “roupas” luxuosas e bonitas e, evidentemente, gostava da sua tarefa.
Totalmente teleguiada, era simples instrumento sob o poder implacável de seus senhores.
Agindo sob hipnose, atuava precisamente naquilo que constituía o principal problema do companheiro encarnado: sexo.
Encontrava-se muito bem preparada pelos seus ínstrutores.
Quando eu lhe disse que era mero instrumento em mãos alheias, ela respondeu que não, pois gozava de inteira liberdade.
Não é maldosa, é irresponsável e perturbada.
Conta que “ainda ontem, na missa, Monsenhor falou que era preciso evitar o aguilhão”.
Sabem, assim, que se sairem dali, por fuga ou fraqueza, encontrarão o espectro temido da dor, as lágrimas, o desespero.
Enquanto estão ali, têm diversões, prazeres, vestidos bonitos e até mesmo os “tranqüilizantes” psicológicos para a consciência atormentada, porque ex-sacerdotes fanatizados e duros ministram-lhes “sacramentos”, levam-nas às missas que celebram e absolvem-nas dos pecados que porventura tenham cometido.
É, sem dúvida, um plano maquiavélico, com o qual ex-“ministros de Deus” conseguem manipular, à vontade, pobres inocentes úteis que lhes caem sob o poder.
A despeito de seus desvairamentos, sinto-a interiormente ingénua, quase pura.
Poderia ser minha filha, digo-lhe, e ela responde que, se eu fosse seu pai, ela não teria coragem de vir me ver.
Aproveito o ensejo para dizer-lhe que, nesse caso, não anda fazendo boas coisas, como alega, o que parece impressioná-la.
Nesse ponto, ela me confessa que veio escondida.
“Eles” não podem saber.

— Portanto — digo-lhe eu — você não tem liberdade, como disse.

Mais um argumento que ela intimamente reconhece legítimo.
Mas, prossegue, tagarelando inconseqüentemente, para dizer que “quando eu vou lá, todas se escondem”.
Por fim, faço uma prece e ela se sente perdida, sem saber o que fazer.
Vê uma jovem serena e bela que a chama, mas ela teme e hesita; acaba cedendo e parte com ela.
Na sessão seguinte compareceu um sacerdote.
Tinha forte sotaque alemão e era o “guia espiritual” do nosso companheiro encarnado, então sob tratamento em nosso grupo.
Viera em busca da filha que desaparecera, precisamente a moça da semana anterior.
Pobre irmão desgovernado! Ignorava que ela estava sendo vergonhosamente explorada pela mesma “organização” a que ele servia!
Dizia Paulo que tudo nos é lícito, mas nem tudo nos convém; para estes irmãos religiosos transviados, tudo convém, seja lícito ou não, desde que os ajude a alcançar seus objetivos.
E assim, misturam os conceitos de uma deformada teologia com os ritos da magia negra e com as técnicas da hipnose e da magnetização, realizando verdadeiras lavagens cerebrais, provocando pavorosas desfigurações perispirituais, desencadeando processos obsessivos penosíssimos.
Uma das infelizes criaturas a que atendemos certa vez, nos contou a seguinte história: numa existência anterior, fora traída por uma mulher.
Localizando esta agora, em outra vida — não ficamos sabendo se casada com o seu antigo marido —, atormentava-a livremente, com rancor e consciência tranqüila, porque um sacerdote, seu amigo, a perdoava e a estimulava a prosseguir na sua deplorável tarefa.
Há, também, entre eles, os ex-inquisidores.
Ainda rancorosos, mais fanáticos do que nunca, mantêm os mesmos processos de tortura e de encarceramento, em medonhas masmorras infectas.
Quantos companheiros não socorremos, apavorados, roidos pelos ratos, enceguecidos pelas trevas, ainda sentindo as sensações de estrangulamento, carregando correntes imaginárias, com os olhos ou a língua arrancados, mortos a fome, tuberculosos, desmembrados, alienados, atoleimados, muitos sem condições sequer de chorar.

Todo esse arsenal alucinante de opressão e miséria tem como suporte uma teologia que lhes é própria.
Seus artífices não ignoram as verdades contidas na Doutrina Espírita, nem têm como negá-la, diante do que sabem, mas justificam suas atrocidades com frases estereotipadas, sempre as mesmas, no fundo, embora variadas na forma.
Sim, reconhecem, é verdadeira a doutrina da reencarnação, por exemplo.
A Igreja a admite há muito tempo, dizem, mas conserva tais conhecimentos limitados a uma elite pensante, pois essas informações não devem ser transmitidas à massa popular.
Um dia, quando conseguirem restaurar todo o poderio da Igreja, esses conhecimentos serão liberados e o Evangelho do Cristo será novamente pregado tal como é, ou seja, como eles entendem que seja.
Um deles me declarou, certa vez, que existe, pronta, uma nova versão do Evangelho, cuidadosamente preparada, para ser lançada no momento oportuno.
Esse momento é sempre o mesmo: quando restabelecerem novamente o domínio total sobre a Humanidade, tal como no passado, em que era honra concedida aos reis beijarem os pés dos Papas.
Enquanto isso, tramam, envolvem, planejam e executam, com a cumplicidade de muitas fraquezas humanas, próprias e alheias.
É claro, pois, que o alvo de preferência de suas investidas é o Espiritismo, que muitos combateram “em vida” e que prosseguem combatendo, com redobrado ardor, quando se passam para o mundo póstumo.
Os grupos espíritas de trabalho mediúnico interferem direta ou indiretamente em seus planos.
Muitas vezes, tais grupos se envolvem em autênticos vespeiros, ao tentarem ajudar companheiros encarnados ou desencarnados, sob o guante de terríveis obsessões.
É que, em não poucas oportunidades, os obsidiados são peças importantes no complexo jogo de xadrez das sombras.
Verdadeiras batalhas travam-se em torno de determinadas figuras humanas, e os grupos que intentam salvá-las das suas aflições precisam estar realmente bem preparados, ou serão impiedosamente esmagados pela agressividade dos poderosos dirigentes das trevas.
Por outro lado, o movimento espírita moderno, especialmente no Brasil, conta com enorme quantidade de antigos sacerdotes, arrependidos de seus desatinos passados, procurando, em nova encarnação, lavar as manchas de crimes hediondos que cometeram.
Para os antigos comparsas, no entanto, são trânsfugas desprezíveis, que
cumpre esmagar, apóstatas que têm de destruir, heréticos que precisam calar, a todo custo.
Quantos me têm interpelado, com as mais terríveis invectivas! Um deles, conhecendo meu passado, tanto na Igreja Católica como na Protestante, me disse, com ódio e desprezo:
— Protestante e espírita, dois porcos num só.

Outro, fanático e não mau, buscava-me há mais de quatro séculos, pois da última vez em que fomos companheiros, éramos sacerdotes católicos, antes ainda da Reforma Protestante.
Outros se empenham em “recuperar-nos”, seja com ameaças, seja com promessas sedutoras ou barganhas inaceitáveis.
A esta altura, o leitor, algo impressionado, estaria perguntando se não há sacerdotes de boa índole, no mundo espiritual.
Certamente que sim, e, graças a Deus, em grande número; com muito mais freqüência, porém, entre aqueles que foram pequenos e humildes servidores da Igreja, conscientes das grandezas do Evangelho de Jesus.
São eles os serenos párocos de aldeia, monges e frades que se dedicaram à caridade e ao serviço ao próximo.
São muitos os que rapidamente se adaptam às condições do mundo espiritual, onde não encontram nem o céu de gozos inefáveis, nem o inferno aterrador, nem tampouco o purgatório lendário, mas apenas as condições que criaram para si mesmos.
Alguns dos mais destacados membros da hierarquia eclesiástica também vencem, com surpreendente brevidade, o período de perplexidade em que mergulham com a desencarnação.
Um deles, manifestado no Grupo Ismael, declara, na sua segunda comunicação:
— “É estupenda a metamorfose que se operou no meu Espírito, desde a visita que vos fiz.
Extraordinário fenômeno, capaz de confundir a inteligência mais atilada e a criatura melhor provida de conhecimentos teológicos e profanos.
Estupenda, grandiosa, diria mesmo fenomenal, é a obra em que colaborais, vós outros, homens terrenos, malquistos pela sociedade perversa dos vossos dias.
Medito e considero: eu, servidor da Igreja, elevado à mais alta dignidade eclesiástica, na Terra de Santa Cruz, venho entre vós, criaturas simples, na maioria sem grande preparo intelectual, beber da água da vida que o ensino da Igreja romana nunca pôde proporcionar ao meu espírito sedento.
Quando daqui regressei, meus irmãos, o Infinito como que se havia transmudado e novo cenário se me deparou.
A coorte dos que me acompanhavam, cabisbaixa e encolhida num recanto, demonstrava a sua contrariedade pelos efeitos que a minha visita produzira em meu espírito.

Fora daqueles que, “em vida”, segundo suas próprias declarações na sessão anterior, “procurara, juntamente com outros dignitários da sua Igreja, meios de conseguir que cessassem as atividades da Federação, na propaganda do Espiritismo, pelo considerar falsa e errônea essa doutrina, prejudicial ao Catolicismo”.
Era, agora, socorrido exatamente na organização que tentara fazer calar.
Note-se, também, em sua comunicação, a referência à coorte dos que o seguiam e ao desapontamento em que ficaram, ao ver o bravo cardeal render-se espontaneamente àqueles que todos consideravam como adversários, que não mereciam piedade nem consideração.
De outro cardeal desencarnado ouvi, certa vez, a lamentosa queixa do arrependimento, não pelo combate ao Espiritismo, mas pelo que deixara de fazer de bom, quando dispunha de tantos recursos e poderes, em virtude do íntimo conhecimento dos bastidores políticos da Igreja.
Comovente, porém, são as pequenas manifestações anônimas, em serviços preciosos, de que somente tomamos conhecimento por via indireta.
Um dos poderosos “Príncipes da Igreja”, impetuoso e arrogante, que nos tratava com superior condescendência, foi acolhido por um velho e humílimo criado de quarto, que o servira nos seus dias de glória.

Muitas são as lições dolorosas que nos ministram os dramas vividos por esses pobres irmãos que insistem em declarar-se trabalhadores do Cristo.
Examinando suas tendências, estudando suas atitudes e pronunciamentos, creio que poderíamos identificar duas posições básicas, neles: ambição e fanatismo.

Às vezes, a ambição e o fanatismo parecem coexistir no mesmo Espírito, mas ocorrem, também, separadas.
Os ambiciosos desejam o poder, o exercício

da autoridade.
Não sabem viver sem mandar, sem oprimir, sem impor sua vontade e suas idéias.
Movem-nos ambições desmedidas, sustentadas e impulsionadas pela filosofia da restauração da “verdadeira” Igreja do Cristo.
Quantos deles não nos têm confessado sua impaciência e irritação ante a desagregação da autoridade da velha organização eclesiásfica terrena! Não é essa a imagem da Igreja com que sonham.
Querem-na forte, poderosa, autoritária, incontestada, ditatorial, como nos tempos idos; não essa aí, que está sempre recuando e entregando-se, como se acuada.
No mundo espiritual em que vivem, conservaram os modelos medievais, com todo o seu cortejo de vícios, Só lhes resta reimplantar esses modelos entre os encarnados, repondo a esclerosada organização terrena no seu antigo “esplendor”.
É certo que, para esses objetivos, encontram apoio nos mais insuspeitados setores da atividade humana, tanto aqui, como no mundo espiritual.
Para isto, ligam-se a Outros poderosos do passado, com os quais celebram pactos sinistros de apoio mútuo, para partilharem do vasto bolo do poder, se e quando o reconquistarem.
É comum encontrarmos, entre os desencarnados, sacerdotes de elevada hierarquia eclesiástica, perfeitamente entrosados com antigos governantes leigos que se revelaram indiferentes às questões puramente religiosas ou francamente hostis ao movimento cristão, que alguns deles chegaram mesmo a combater tenazmente, quando de suas passagens pela carne.
Não importa.
Desde que constituam bons parceiros na conquista das posições, as tenebrosas alianças realizam-se.
Quanto aos fanáticos, nem sempre são ambiciosos, no sentido da disputa do domínio político.
Estão convencidos de que sua forma de pensar é a Única certa, com exclusão de todas as demais.
Combatem o Espiritismo, não tanto porque desejam posições de mando, mas porque o consideram uma odiosa heresia.
No fundo, o fanático puro serve de instrumento ao ambicioso, pois este não se interessa pelo pensamento religioso em si, e sim pelo poder que uma teologia deformada e bem manipulada pode proporcionar.
Muitos desses Espíritos repetem incessantemente seus enganos por séculos a fio, buscando sempre os núcleos do poder, quaisquer que sejam as crenças em que se apóiam.
Foram hierofantes de decadentes cultos egípcios, por exemplo; repetiram a experiência, como sacerdotes judeus, e voltam a insistir, como prelados católicos, sempre disputando posições de relevo, de onde possam manobrar.
Para que essas mudanças tão radicais de posição teológica não os incomode, condicionam-se a um esquecimento das antigas circunstâncias, para não terem que enfrentar conscientemente uma realidade estranha, como a de declararem-se em luta pela restauração da Igreja do Cristo, quando toda a sua atividade e todas as suas verdadeiras convicções são um desmentido formal à doutrina de amor contida nos Evangelhos.
Às vezes, despertam para a realidade, ante o impacto traumático de revelações que dormitavam em seus indeléveis registros perispirituais, como aquele imponente “servidor” do Cristo que acabou descobrindo que participara pessoalmente do drama da cruz.

Todos esses sabem muito bem por que fogem às lembranças do passado: é que as recordações arrastam-nos, inapelavelmente, a enfrentar suas próprias contradições íntimas, suas hipocrisias, seus desvios, suas fraquezas.
O esquecimento deliberado e auto-induzido é uma fuga, um esconderijo.
Enquanto estão ali, acham-se abrigados da dor.
Por isso, não estão interessados, especificamente, nesta ou naquela teologia — o que importa é a ação, o poder.
No fundo, sabem muito bem que não são trabalhadores do Cristo, mas há tanto tempo se condicionaram a essa atitude, que acabam por se convencer da sua autenticidade.
É preciso um impacto mais violento para desalojá-los de suas terríveis auto-ilusões.
